Alki beach!!

This beautiful beach in West Seattle reminds me of Marine drive in Mumbai and is my go to place when I am missing my city. The beach has beautiful Apartments, Condos, Restaurants, Coffee shops, Bars who are gifted with a gorgeous view of Puget sound and breathtaking view of Seattle skyline.

During fall, drive to Alki beach is beautiful as you get to see the fall colors on Alki Avenue.

You can:

      1. Enjoy water activities: you will see two water activities rentals there, one is on the beach and one is about 1.4 miles from the beach near Marination hotel called Alki kayak rentals. This rental shop has variety of options to rent kayaks, skates, bicycles, paddle boards and closes at 8:00PM so they stop renting around 7:00PM. You can also rent four-wheel cycle, bicycles from Wheel fun rentals and ride along the sidewalk of the beach.

       2. Enjoy some good food and beer in front of the beach with gorgeous sunset view: My favourite restaurants to try at Alki beach would be Marination, Salty’s, El Chupacabra, Seattle brewery, Cactus and if you walk a little ahead you have many more options to try from. 

       3. Enjoy Games at the beach: You can play volleyball on the beach or just chill and enjoy some beer.

       4. Seattle’s Tiny Statue of Liberty: As you approach the end of the beach you see a statue of liberty look alike which is Seattle’s Tiny Statue. It was a part of the boy scout campaign to build statues like these across the country as the symbol of harmony and stability in the time of political instability. You can just sit there and enjoy the sunset. It’s my favorite thing to do.

And Of course, the beach is a perfect place to get a beautiful view of the skyline.
